Throughout high school, students will encounter many pressures and difficult situations with which they will have to cope. The situations are numerous but two of the main stressors include bullying and peer pressure. Almost every student will experience one if not both of these situations at some point in high school. What Is Bullying?

- One person hurting or harming another with words or behavior
- An intentional action
- The person being affected has a difficult time defending against the behavior
Bullying Can Be...
- Physical - pushing, shoving, hitting, kicking, biting, hair pulling, damaging another's possessions
- Verbal - teasing, name calling, threats, demeaning jokes, rumors, gossip
- Sexual - demeaning words about sexuality, inappropriate touching, unwelcome physical contact
- Emotional - leaving someone out, telling lies to hurt another, humiliating someone publicly
- Cyberbullying - sending mean text messages, posting videos, stories, or photos to ridicule someone, and spreading rumors through social networking site
